Funny story. I was mentioned to Stephenie Meyer. Not by name, but still. It's ironic, considering I don't like Twilight. ^^

My friend Andrew is friends with a Mormon missionary who happens to know Stephenie Meyer. (I think his name is William.) In an attept to impress Andrew, William called and teased, "Guess who I'm with?"

"Uh..."

"Stephenie Meyer!"

Andrew didn't have a clue as to who Stephenie Meyer was. Andrew flirted with her, thinking she was his age. "Heeey, Stephenie."

There was a long, awkward pause.

"You don't know who I am, do you?" Stephenie asked.

"William's friend?"

"I'm the lady who wrote the Twilight books."

"Oh. I haven't read Twlight, but my friend has. You should talk to her." (Meaning me. Andrew thought it would be funny to tell STEPHENIE MEYER that KELLEY FESMIRE did not approve of her main character. I'm glad Stepehie failed to probe Andrew because he would have let slip my deep-rooted Bella issues.)

"Tell her to join the club."

Then Andrew hung up the phone because he was embarrassed that he flirted with a woman twice his age.

Priceless.

So: I have a brand new weapon in my arsenal of inflicting jealousy. I can tell Twlight fans that I've been mentioned to THE Stephenie Meyer. Andrew COULD have mentioned ANY of the million-or-so girls who're drooling over Twlight this minute, but no. He mentioned me.

Can life get any more ironic? I submit that it cannot!
